Welcome to Quilty Pleasures, we're the one-stop-shop for all your quilting and sewing needs in Simi Valley, California.

We're more than just an ordinary quilting shop, we hope you'll find a home with us. We offer a wide variety of classes and activities, all set within a cozy, at home atmosphere. Stop by for coffee or tea and cookies with friends.
New fabrics arrive weekly. We offer quality fabrics with unique patterns and designs perfect for your special projects.
Quilting in the Valley 2013 - Stars Over the Valley Quilt Show
Quilty
Pleasures is so excited to share with you that we will be participating
in the upcoming Quilting in The Valley show. A few details to
share:
When: May 4th, 10 am - 5 pm and May 5th, 10 am - 4 pm
Where: The Airtel Plaza Hotel in Van Nuys, CA
Admission: $9.00 (Husbands free on Sunday)
Children under 12 are free Quilt Auction: 2 pm - 4 pm on Sunday, May 5th
Lots of new classes are scheduled for April and May.
How about a Tote Bag for Mom on Mother's day?
We've added several tote bag classes to the calendar.
New fabrics are arriving weekly and many new classes have been scheduled. The Class Calendar has been updated. Check out the Class Projects to view the projects offered in the classes.
Starting June 15th we will be offering the Simi Valley Quilt Guild's "Birds in the Air" Workshop, taught by Sandy Turner. Cost for Guild members is $35 and non-members is $40.
We have many new groups starting up at Quilty Pleasures:
Endless Sewing Possibilities (ESP) minigroup - We are extending a Special Invitation to join this new minigroup on the 4th Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm. We have several openings available for persons
seeking Endless Sewing Possibilities. Our current agenda includes
multiple projects such as strip pieced quilts, paper pieced quilts,
applique, knitting, snacks, and future field trips. Another aspect of
our new minigroup is that we will be donating canned goods each month to
Quilty Pleasures supported charity as a thank you for the use of the
facility.
We look forward to you
joining us in all of the Endless Sewing Possibilities the future may

Scrapper's Collide Mini-Group - The Group is just starting to meet at Quilty Pleasures most Monday afternoons at 1:00 pm. Their first quilt will be "Fun With Bricks" from the website quiltville.blogspot.com. If anybody wants to join, check out the pattern and bring 2" cut width of fabric pieces of medium value prints, their sewing machine and BSS and just show up. Prayers & Squares Group - The Group was kicked off January 28th.Being
that we have so many wonderful quilters that are members of different
churches and faiths, we have decided to create a community chapter of
Prayers & Squares.
Prayers & Squares is an interfaith
outreach organization that combines the gift of prayer with the gift of a
hand-tied quilt. Unlike many other groups that make quilts for
charitable causes, the purpose of Prayers & Squares is not to make
and distribute quilts, but to promote prayer through the use of quilts. Their motto is: "It's not about the quilt; it's all about the prayers."
Quilters interested in creating quilts
to promote prayer are welcome. We will make quilts for anyone in need
and the quilt can be taken to a specific church, group, or be tied
within our chapter. If you have any questions about the organization you can take a look at their website www.prayerquilt.org.
Another new mini-group will be meeting at Quilty Pleasures on the 4th Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm. Join their first meeting on January 24th. The point person for this group is Melody Myers. Call the shop for details.
Quilty Pleasures is happy to provide a meeting place for mini-groups. So, these new groups are taking advantage of the opportunity to make new friends, talk, snack, show-and-tell, etc., and of course sew. Give us a call to book your group today!
The Strip Club - Held every month on Sunday afternoons from
1:00-4:00 pm. The cost is $15 per class, plus fabric.
Girl's Night Out - Join us for an evening of fun and sewing every Friday night at 5:30 pm. The cost is $5.00 which will be donated to the Samaratin Center. The Fun starts at 5:30 pm and ends at 9:00 pm. Hope to see you there.
Open Sew - Every Wednesday from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. There is no charge to attend Open Sew. Just bring your sewing machine, a friend, a project and have fun. Shannon and Kathy will be available to answer your sewing questions or to help with your project.
Don't forget to bring in your donation of can goods and/or non-perishable foods for those less fortunate. We will be supporting the Samaritan Center and Care and Share of Simi Valley. They will be blessed by your generosity.
